Mission, Values and commitments

Our mission is to put Swiss Excellence at the service of demanding dental specialists: to provide them with instruments of irreproachable quality, perfectly meeting their requirements, thanks to three pillars: Listening to our customers, a requirement for precision as well as environmental awareness at every stage of the production process.

Listening to our customers

By listening carefully to our clients, we are able to meet their needs by developing instruments that match their precise requirements. Our small scale enables us to enjoy a close relationship with our customers and to respond swiftly to particular requests.
Our aim is to produce tools that are an extension of the dentist’s hand.

Impeccable quality

It is quality which distinguishes true manufacturing from slapdash production; this is dependent on several criteria:

Knowledge of raw materials

Our considerable expertise in the manufacture of steel medical devices enables us to produce instruments with remarkable mechanical properties, combining flexibility and hardness and guaranteeing an unrivalled durability. The steel used is unique because it is more difficult to machine, but it is the best for the properties that a practitioner is looking for.

Manual finishing

Instruments as precise and varied as ours must be finished by hand. Meticulousness, dexterity, inventiveness and expertise are essential qualities in our craftsmen.

Intelligence of shape

The angulation of a product plays a crucial part in dental work. The manufacturer must examine all the degrees of angulation to ensure that the instrument is balanced, the treatment area is accessible and the work can be performed comfortably.

Strict margins

Strict margins + rigorous quality controls = high degree of regularity in our instruments

Code of ethics

Showing respect for the values of others is essential. Each employee understands his or her role perfectly, feels valued and invests fully in the joint process.

Environmental awareness

Our philosophy

At Deppeler, we fully manufacture the instruments we sell and, as a result, we influence all the operations that lead from the raw material to the object used by the practitioner, to recycling.

The environmental approach taken with regard to our production system is based on the 3 Rs: Reduce – Re-use – Recycle; in particular in our premises, with steel (main raw material) and packaging.

The premises

  • Since we moved in 2008, we have been based in Minergie-labelled premises, which has reduced our basic external energy needs for heating by 75%.
  • Furthermore, 80% of the heat released by our production system is re-used to heat the site.
  • Our water consumption fell by 44% between 2000 and 2007.
  • Our electricity consumption has fallen by 26%.
  • The factory is accessible by public transport.
  • Our manufacturing processes involves everyday substances in order to have the lowest impact on the environment, such as olive oil, demineralised water, lemon juice and soap etc.

The steel

  • The steel we use is made according to our criteria. We know it perfectly and it does not contain any unwanted components.
  • Steel is the perfect no-waste material. Nothing is lost and everything can be recycled indefinitely. After a long life, an instrument that is no longer in use can simply be recycled in the same way as other metal items.
  • Steel has a never-ending cycle (or ‘re-cycle’).

The packaging

  • Our blister packs (pre-formed packaging) are made from 100% PET and can be disposed of just like PET bottles.
  • Our cardboard packaging is sturdy enough to withstand more than one journey. We recommend that our clients use them repeatedly, whatever the purpose, for as long as they last.
  • The filler material is 100% biodegradable.
